Iran and the Yellow Star

I don't quite know how to respond to this story. I mean, on one hand, it's disgusting, it's frightening, and it's apalling. On the other hand- it should come as a surprise? Before, we were under the impression that Iran is sweet and cuddly? What this does say is that Iran is no longer interested in faking it- something like this is so clearly resonant that they have to have calculated it specifically to draw the parallel. Have to wonder why. Do they feel that their impending nuclear program grants them immunity to international pressure? Or is it their oil? I really don't have any clever thoughts on the subject.
